Casual Residential Youth Worker
- 7 day roster (penalty rates on nights and weekend shifts)

About the role
DAYS Youth Withdrawal and Respite is a 2 to 3 week program for young people between 12 and 21 years old with AOD substance misuse. The program uses a harm minimisation approach and allows clients to participate in a day program which offers; anger management, sexual health, harm reduction groups and a range of services such as psychology, medical and recreational activities
Duties:
- Inducting clients to the service
- Supporting clients toward the achievement of their casework goals
- Providing guidance and education as required
- Ensuring safe storage and distribution of client medication
- Ensuring client records are kept up to date
Qualifications & experience:
- Relevant Degree or TAFE Diploma and/or
- Relevant experience with adolescents
- Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team
- Working with Children Card
- "C" Class drivers' license
The successful applicant will be required to provide proof they have a current Working with Children check, or apply for one if they do not already hold one. The successful applicant will also undertake other relevant background checks as required (including a criminal history check, and reference checks)
