The Position
We are currently seeking an enthusiastic qualified Kindergarten Teacher and Nominated Supervisor at Yarra Valley Pre-school.
The Nominated Supervisor will be responsible for the team of Educators at the service. The successful applicant will provide an educational program and practice which enhances all children's learning and development, providing opportunities to maximize children's potential and develop a foundation for future success in learning.
This is a part-time position working 14.5 hours per week as outlined below. The position will maintain a 3 year old group.
- Tuesday: 8:30am - 2:00pm
- Wednesday: 10:00am - 1:30pm
- Thursday: 8:30am - 2:00pm
Position commences ASAP.
The service
Yarra Valley Preschool are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Nominated Supervisor and Kindergarten Teacher to work in close partnership with the Kindergarten team to extend upon, support and implement appropriate developmental and enriching programs in accordance with the EYLF and national regulations. The Nominated Supervisor is responsible for the team of Educators and day to day running of the service. To be successful in this role you will have leadership experience and demonstrated experience providing educational program and practices which enhances all children's learning and development, providing opportunities to maximize children's potential and develop a foundation for future success in learning.

We are looking for an experienced Early Childhood Teacher who values partnering with families, is keen to further develop their skills and wants to join a passionate, capable and dedicated team.
To be considered for this role, it is essential you have:
- Previous experience working as an Early Childhood Teacher within an early childhood service
- Demonstrated solid understanding of:
- National Quality Framework (NQF)
- Early Years learning Framework (EYLF)
- Child Protection legislation & implications (approved Child Protection Training)
- Workplace Health & Safety legislation and issues
- Success in leading and managing a large team
- Knowledge of the stages of physical, emotional, cognitive, social and cultural development of children
- Knowledge of NQF assessment and rating
- Capability to engage children through activities and experiences appropriate for age groups / stages of development
- Knowledge of health, hygiene and the nutrition needs of children
- Ability to communicate effectively with children, families of all backgrounds and staff
- Aptitude for being proactive and acting on guidance / direction
- Commitment to your own ongoing professional development in early childhood
- Ability to undertake the physical requirements involved within an early childhood setting
- Ability to work with a range of internal and external stakeholders
- Knowledge of Best Start and other DET funded programs to support vulnerable families
