About the Role:

Federation Training is seeking applications from suitably qualified and experienced industry experts to join the Civil Construction casual teaching pool to assist with the delivery of our Civil Construction courses. The main focus of this position is to support students, deliver quality training and assessment, develop resources and undertake educational administration within the Civil Construction Programs. Applicants must be motivated, enthusiastic, industry experts with a passion for sharing their knowledge, skills and experience.

The role of a Casual Teacher:

Involves a broad range of activities which directly and indirectly support learning through the delivery of educational programs and include:

  • Planning, preparing and delivering high quality training and assessment
  • Providing appropriate variety and flexibility in educational practice
  • Contributing to decision making that effects the learning environment
  • Liaising with local industry, other educational providers and the community to ensure that education and training is relevant and responsive to needs
  • Participating cooperatively in the development and implementation of agreed quality improvement processes by reflecting on experience, their own performance and an evaluation of processes and program outcomes.

To be Considered as a Casual Teacher, You Will Need:

  • A Certificate IV in Training & Assessment TAE40110
  • Vocational qualification in the relevant discipline (Certificate III in Civil Construction)
  • Relevant and current vocational and/or industrial experience requirements
  • An ability to deliver across multiple skill sets would be highly regarded
  • Demonstrated high level written and oral communication skills and a proven ability to communicate effectively
  • Capability to facilitate learning in an adult environment
  • Commitment to quality customer service.

Successful applicants must hold a current driver’s licence and will be required to satisfy a National Police Records Check and a Victorian Working with Children Check
