Your new company
An exciting opportunity is available for a qualified Centre Director to join and lead a dedicated team in a medium sized service in the Fawkner Area. The centre is purpose built with fantastic resources and facilities, with the children's needs at the heart of the design. The centre itself will have lots of natural light, as well as a natural outdoor space, allowing children to fully engage with nature and their environment. The centre is linked to other services across Australia, so you will have the opportunity to network with other Directors, as well as receiving support from a highly experienced owner.
Your new role
This is a rare opportunity that has only come about due to the relocation of the current centre Director. As Director of this beautiful centre your role will be to oversee the development of the educational program, as well as developing a strong collaborative team culture. You will have the opportunity to work with a very dedicated team and your focus will be around developing their knowledge and skills through organising professional development and offering day to day support and guidance. You will be supported by an off the floor 2IC who will assist with all admin tasks and who will run the service in your absence. You will be passionate and be looking to establish a strong reputation in the local community through excellent service to families and setting a high standard of education and care. This will be an off the floor role so you can focus on developing relationships with children and families, as well as supporting your educators through training and development. You will be rewarded with flexible working hours, the option to work either 4 or 5 days per week as well as the opportunity to join a wonderful team.
What you'll need to succeed
• Bachelor of Early Childhood or Diploma of Children's Services
• Level 2 First Aid, Anaphylaxis and Asthma certification
• A minimum 3 to 4 years' experience as a Centre manager
• Experience of building occupancy within a new service and the Assessment and Rating process is also highly desirable
• Ability to train and mentor educators
If this sounds like you, please apply to Richard Duncan by sending a copy of your resume to [email protected] or for a confidential discussion please call (03) 9249 2410.
Please note - Due to the high level of applications expected, only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
Good luck
