The Director (Students and Technologies), supported by school leadership, plays a key role in positioning Canberra Montessori School as a prominent provider of Montessori education in Australia through leadership and management of enrolments, student wellbeing, the technologies curriculum, school compliance, communications and operational support. The appointee will be dedicated, experienced, energetic and highly professional. The Director (Students and Technologies) is a member of the School Executive and is responsible to the Principal.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collective school leadership as a member of the Executive Team
- Teaching, learning, assessment and reporting (school-wide technologies curriculum)
- Welfare of staff and students, including diversity support
- Administering / managing general procedures and processes (enrolments and compliance)
- Marketing and promotion of the school
- Workplace Health and Safety
- Communications and grievances
Essential requirements:
- Tertiary qualifications in Education and Leadership
- Knowledge of Montessori and Educational Best Practice (or ability to quickly acquire)
- Demonstrated experience in a similar role
- Logical and evidence-based decision making
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team
- High attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability to set priorities and meet deadlines
