About the business
OHSA is an industry leading safety consultancy and registered training organisation. We have been an RTO for over a decade with well-established systems and clean ASQA Audits. We have dedicated offices in Brisbane and on the Gold Coast with courses run all over the country.
About the role
We are currently seeking an experienced RTO Manager/Coordinator for immediate start. Please note, this will be an initial 3 month contract with a sincere view for permanency. A Diploma of TAE or equivalent is a requirement for this role.
Your duties will include;
- Managing the employer's Registered Training Organisation (RTO);
- Maintain 'Fit and Proper Person' Requirements;
- Duties as a High Managerial Agent as outlined within the National Vocational Education and Training Regulator Act 2011;
- Ensuring compliance with ASQA NVR Standards for Continuing Registration;
- Assisting with Business Development leveraging OHSA into new and emerging markets;
- Developing positive relationships with industry and government agencies;
- Managing the development, maintenance and delivery of quality /WH&S, construction and mining training and consulting services as required by OHSA;
- Ensuring no significant non-compliances occur at any of the ASQA audits;
- Develop and manage the employers staff to ensure RTO currency of knowledge as per NVR Standards for continuing registration;
- Manage and assist the employers trainers / assessors and associates;
- Continue to develop and manage MOU relationships with industry;
- Assisting in training and assessing duties as required

Skills and experience
Our ideal candidate will have;
- Diploma of TAE or equivalent as the mandatory minimum qualification;
- Recent RTO Management/Coordinator experience;
- Excellent understanding of national competencies and assessment instruments;
- Demonstrated experience in developing learning and assessment resources;
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills;
- Minimum 5 years work experience in the VET sector;
- Preferably recent experience working with either mining / resources / construction / WH&S / education industry sectors;
- Honest, trustworthy and reliable.
