Calvary is a dual campus from Childcare to Year Twelve with campuses located in Springwood and Carbrook. Our College has been developed on strong Biblical foundations and is directed to excellence in all areas.
This position includes before school care, after school care, vacation care and operates for 50 weeks a year. This position will commence as soon as possible.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
The successful applicant must –
- Be the person in day to day charge and provide day to day charge of the service
- Have an ability to plan, develop and implement quality programs
- Manage the day to day running of the programs and engaging in a self-assessment and quality improvement planning process.
- Maintain staff roster, performance reviews and staff development
- Be willing to undertake specific training to enhance the OSHC
- Oversee ordering of food and other resources
- Assistant in the preparation of breakfast and morning/afternoon tea
- Be actively involved with the children in an appropriate manner
- Be aware of duty of care responsibilities and the safety of all children in the services care, including people authorised to collect children
- Ensure that the children abide by the Centre's rules of behaviour
- Undertake administrative requirements
- Work collaboratively with families and the school community and
- Have a basic understanding of occupational health and safety, equal employment opportunity and anti-discriminatory practices and behavior as applied in a work environment
- Be a sound person displaying qualities of, reliability and an ability to work with others both individually and as a member of a team
- Promote the service within the Community.
Required
- Relevant qualifications, or studying towards.
- Experience in National Quality Framework and programing around the Framework (My Time Our Place)
- Experience in the care and education of children
- Demonstrated experience in managing an OSHC service
- Excellent customer service
- Sound computer skills (Qik Kids experience preferred)
- First Aid and CPR certification
- Certificate of Suitability to work with Children and Young People (Blue Card)
- Strong understanding of Childcare Legislation
- High level of written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
Location
The OSHC Coordinator will be based at the Springwood Campus, but may be required to work across both campuses when needed.
