The Roles
ECT
We are seeking a dedicated, passionate early childhood teacher to join our team of educators. This is a part-time role (37.5) whereby you will be supporting the ECT when she is on programming or away from the centre in order to maintain a high quality Kindergarten Program for our children. When at the centre, you will be responsible for planning and implementing the Kindergarten program ensuring it is engaging and stimulating for the children and aligns with all relevant guidelines (QKLG & EYLF). At Day One we aim to provide an early years learning program that supports caring, creative and confident children to prepare for school.
Before & After School Role
This is a part-time role working spilt shifts of 5 mornings and afternoons per week averaging 30 hours. The centre is based in Burleigh West, with access to public transport. Licensed for 70 places with a growing before and after school care and vacation care program. You will be working as an Educator leading the before and after school care program, as well as delivering our busy vacation care program. We may also call on you to carry out additional tasks to support the team. Must have a manual License and have a minimum of 3years experience delivering vacation care and /or before and after school care programs. Would be nice if the applicant has a minimum qualification of Diploma in Children Services and a Sound knowledge of "My Time Our Place" and the National Quality Framework.
The Ideal Applicants You must have:
- Previous experience programming and writing observations for children 3 -12 years
- The desire to make this a permanent career move
- Be self-motivated; possess leadership qualities, effective time management and ability to multi task.
- Current working with children check clearance, first aid certificate and approved Anaphylaxis & Asthma Training
- Enthusiasm & commitment to the early childhood sector
- A passion for working with communities to ensure optimum outcomes for families and children
- Effective communication skills both written and verbal
