Position available
We are currently seeking casual ELICOS teachers to prepare and deliver high quality student centered lessons to our cohort of international students.
FOCUS delivers 4 levels of "Elementary" to "Upper-intermediate" within its General English program and you will be rotating between the levels during your employment with FOCUS. Our students are very motivated and love classes full of activities. The perfect candidate should be a resourceful and experienced teacher who can plan engaging lessons to keep students motivated and interested while covering the course requirements and core text.
Applicants must have a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree and a TESOL Certificate. A minimum of 1 year experience in teaching English as a Second Language at a recognised ELICOS college is required.
Requirements:
- A Bachelor Degree and a qualification in TESL/TEFL/TESOL
- Minimum 1 year of ESL teaching experience (preferably to international students)
- Experience in developing resources
- Reliable
- Focused on student engagement and learning
- Ability to work in a team environment and eye for detail in administrative tasks
- continually strive for personal and organizational development
- Eligible to work in Australia
