We are looking for a Centre Director that understands the importance of our philosophy and will create an innovative and inspiring early childhood educational program.

 

ABOUT THE ROLE:

As a Centre Director, you will be a Team leader, with 10 - 25 staff reporting to you; Teacher/s, Diploma Trained and Certificate III Trained Educators, Support Workers (e.g. Cook, Administrative Assistant).

You will also work with and report to our organisational Support Team.

You will be responsible for maintaining all areas of your role as per our job description and you will be expected to oversee the operations of the service, whilst leading, guiding, and supporting a team of Educators, Children and their Families within the local community. 

 

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS FOR THE ROLE:

  • Degree in Early Childhood Teaching/ Diploma in Children's Service
  • Holds a current First Aid Certificate, Anaphylaxis and Asthma Management training
  • Holds a cleared Working with Children Check (WWCC)
  • DEC approved child protection training certificate
  • Acceptance of role of Nominated Supervisor under the Children (Education and Care Services)
  • Has at least 2 years' experience as a Centre Director
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of the National Quality Framework & Early Year’s Learning Framework

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Some of your responsibilities are, but may not be limited to the below:

  • Manage the day to day running of the service including operational practices which incorporate efficient use of our online platforms such as; Qikkids, CCMS, CCS, Tanda
  • Lead, manage and implement compliance following the National Quality Framework, and the Australian Education and Care Services National Law and NSW Regulations
  • Continually develop the Quality Improvement Plan, and look for ways to improve the quality of the service we offer our children and their families
  • Continue to refine and implement Centre Policies and Procedures
  • Inspire, support and empower Educators to deliver a high quality educational program to our children and their families
  • Manage to a budget

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

We are looking for an experienced Centre Director, who has obtained the required qualifications, skills and knowledge. The perfect candidate will be committed to delivering a high-quality service, while maintaining a positive team environment, and as a dedicated and passionate Educator, you will possess demonstrated knowledge of the EYLF, NQF, National Law and Regulations.

You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills and be capable to be a confident public speaker. You will maintain a professional presentation, wearing our uniform with pride and collaborate with co-educators and other staff effectively. Proficient and highly resourceful, you will find ease managing your team effectively and productively within the complex and diverse environment.  It is essential that you are familiar with programming and room co-ordinations to ensure that you can competently lead a large centre.
