The Role and Responsibilities

A Research Assistant/Postdoctoral Research Fellow is required to build research capacity in the investigation of viral infection and persistence within the central nervous system in the Churchill laboratory. The successful candidate will be involved in current and new projects aligned with the strategic direction of the Churchill laboratory and the School’s research Program in Chronic Infectious and Inflammatory Diseases, and will also work collaboratively with Postdocs and Research Assistants on current projects that principally focus on HIV.

Skills & Experience Required

You will have a high level of technical expertise in Neurovirology, molecular biology, or immunohistochemistry. A competitive track record of research achievement, in terms of high quality research outputs including peer-reviewed publications and/or external grants/fellowships, along with a Ph.D. in Biomedical Sciences will be essential to being appointed at a Research Fellow level.
