We are currently seeking a ambitious Child Protection Officer to be accountable for supporting the effective management of child protection.

The Child Protection Officer is accountable for;

• Conducting the investigation of child protection allegations including liaison with the Office of Safeguarding and Professional Standards and external stakeholders including the NSW Ombudsman, Department of Family and Community Services and the NSW Police
• Ensuring the verification of new employees using the working with children check (WWCC)
• Supporting the development and review of child protection policies, procedures and protocols
• Supporting the design and delivery of child protection staff training and compliance across the system 

Typical Experience and Qualifications:

• Tertiary qualifications in the relevant area of study
• Appropriate demonstrated experience
• Investigation, negotiation, conflict management and interpersonal skills
