This is an exciting opportunity to be part of TAFE NSW Creative and Design Ideation team.  
The Head Teacher is responsible to the Head of Skills Team to construct, guide and enhance the educational process, deliver educational programs, lead a team of educators and facilitate learning to enable students to achieve their desired outcomes.

Reporting to the Team Leader, this position:

• Providing appropriate variety and flexibility in educational practice
• Contributing to decision making that affects the learning environment
• Liaising with local industry, other educational providers and the community to ensure that education and training are relevant and responsive to needs
• Participating cooperatively in the development and implementation of agreed quality improvement processes by reflecting on experience, their own performance and an evaluation of processes and program outcomes.

 
If you have?

• Appropriate technical or professional qualifications, and vocational and/or industrial experience, to be able to teach in one of the principal areas managed by the Head Teacher of Creative and Design Ideation such as screen and media, fine arts, fashion, media and music, and design?.
• Educational qualification at Diploma in TAE16 or above and post graduate qualification relating to an Educational Specialisation such as assessment & evaluation; higher education; technology; flexible learning; VET Pedagogy, or, a vocational qualification at degree or above in the relevant industry discipline (Creative and Design Ideation)
• Demonstrated high level educational leadership capabilities in VET teaching, learning and assessment practice
• Demonstrated current knowledge and skills in a relevant industry, discipline, professional practices and technologies
• Established and effective current links to industry and the community including demonstrated record of building and developing strategic networks, partnerships and alliances and a demonstrated ability to identify, plan and implement relevant courses and services

Salary: Total package of up to $129,681 pa including salary ($107,671 - $116,988) employers contribution to superannuation and leave loading
