Introduction
As a trainer in the Canberra, you will play a key part in the successful delivery of the the Skills for Education and Employment and where included within the regions, training of the Adult Migrant English Programs in line with the Department of Education and Training contract requirements for the specified regions.
You will be involved in supporting students and increasing their employability by ensuring their training is tailored and linked to their employment goals and local labour market needs. You will be someone who can naturally mentor and support students towards meeting their goals.
The opportunity
- Promoting MAX Solutions training services and collaborating with Work Experience and Community Liaison officers and trainers to achieve exceptional customer service through supporting students to achieve successful completion of their training and attainment of required outcomes
- Conducting client interviews and pre-entry assessments, creation and up-date of Individual Pathway Guides Client Evidence Portfolios
- Delivering face to face training in the classroom and supervision during Vocational Placements in accordance with Training and Assessment Strategy (TAS) and agreed delivery schedule
- Training, mentoring, support and feedback of submitted work and assessments for internal or external students in accordance with TAS and delivery schedule
- Contextualising training to meet individual client needs, and for pre-employment stream, aligned to their employment goals
About you
- Be a driven, supportive and community minded person, working with disadvantaged learners and non-English speakers to support them in building future opportunities for themselves through learning
- Have the capacity and desire to handle multiple tasks within a high pressured and dynamic environment at any given time
- Strong knowledge of the VET sector and the National Standards for RTOs (2015).
- Excellent skills in training facilitation and assessment within vocational area
- TAE40110 (and post graduate qualification in TESOL if teaching AMEP)
