About the Role
My client is advertising a teaching position in a regional, purpose-built centre in Kalgoorlie. Successful applicants will become immersed in a vibrant, tight-knit group of educators, and occupy a leadership position within the centre. With average occupancy hovering somewhere between 90 and 100%, this is a position for an ambitious teacher, ready to take on a challenge.
Roles and responsibilities will include:
- The planning of activities across all ages in the centre using a variety of methods, including storytelling and the arts
- Initiate and plan excursions and incursions with the wider community
- Collaborate with other educators, to develop a play-based curriculum
- Work with other management figures to ensure the quality of the centre
- Undertake and promote PD, where appropriate
- Maintain appropriate WHS standards and ratio within the centre
- Build relationships with, and foster communications between the centre, families, and wider community
About the Candidate
Successful candidates will:
- Have an excellent knowledge of the EYLF, and NQF especially
- Hold minimum qualifications of a Bachelor's in Teaching or Education
- Be passionate about play-based learning, and sustainable practice
- Have excellent communication and relationship-building skills, as well as strong professional practice.
- Have a positive attitude, and a passion for childcare!
