About the business and the role
The Australian College of Fitness & Bodywork is an award winning RTO that provides nationally recognised courses in Remedial Massage, Myotherapy, Fitness and Business. We specialise in flexible and self paced learning and offer courses that are highly practical, interactive and fun for our students.
Job tasks and responsibilities
We are currently seeking a Part Time trainer and assessor to join our massage department with the ability to teach across the following courses:
- Diploma of Remedial Massage
- Certificate IV in Massage Therapy
Other role components include:
- Monitoring and supporting students within ACFB's FLEXI programs
- One-on-one practical sessions and clinic supervision
- Face-to-face class delivery
- Marking and recording student assessments
- Providing student support
- Full course development opportunity and compliance related to working in a VET environment
- Opportunity to teach within the Advanced Diploma of Myotherapy
Skills and experience
We are seeking someone who:
- Is well presented, self-motivated, proactive and enthusiastic with exceptional interpersonal skills
- Has relevant teaching/training experience (minimum of 2 years experience in education/training)
- Has excellent presentation skills; including a positive and professional work manner
- Is team focused and has the ability to prioritise work, meet deadlines and work accurately
- Is flexible in the hours they can work as an evening, and the occasional weekend work may be required.
Required qualifications and experience:
- Minimum of Advanced Diploma of Myotherapy (relevant higher education qualifications are preferred)
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40110) or equivalent
- Senior First Aid (Level II) and CPR
