Position overview

The Australian National University (ANU) is seeking a customer-focused Enquiry Officer to contribute to the newly established Future Student Experience CRM team. Working within a small call centre environment, you will deliver outstanding customer service to prospective students via a range of channels.

ANU has announced ambitious plans to be a university for all Australians, and to attract the best students and researchers from across the globe, regardless of their background. As Australia’s top ranking university*, our vision is to lead the nation in delivering bespoke future student experiences.  We are confident that investing in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) technology will support this vision, and have an exciting opportunity for a customer-centric Enquiry Officer to support the work of this team.

The Future Student Experience Customer Relationship Management (CRM) team will be responsible for developing and operating the Future Student CRM – an entirely new automation system aimed at enabling ANU to achieve its student quality and diversity goals.

The Enquiry Officer works collaboratively with Marketing and Student Recruitment colleagues, contributing to the efficient and effective response to, and referral of, future student enquiries received via a range of channels, including phone, mail, web, live chat or social media. Our ideal candidate will be an energetic customer service professional with a passion for higher education and, whilst not essential, experience using CRM systems would be advantageous. The Enquiry Officer will assist prospective students from across Australia and around the world, and will make an important and measurable difference to the team's work.

The position is based at our Acton campus, a sprawling natural setting with all of the conveniences of the Canberra city centre. In early 2019 ANU will open Kambri, a brand-new accommodation, conference and services precinct which will include a range of restaurants, street food eateries, a gym and a pool.

Interviews are anticipated to take place on Tuesday 7 August.
