About the Business
We are a family owned 32 place early learning centre located just north of Perth CBD. We are currently recruiting for a new Early Childhood Teacher to join our vibrant centre. The successful candidate will be a highly competent Early Childhood Teacher who will drive our school readiness program in the kindergarten room, as well as take on the role of Educational Leader for the entire centre. It is essential that you have a sound knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework, Kindergarten Curriculum Guidelines, the planning cycle and reflective practice. You must be able to evidence how you use assessment for learning, appropriately document children’s leaning and development and create and maintain positive relationships with parents.
About the role
This is a permanent part-time position with flexible working hours (6 hours per day) and paid non-contact time each day to undertake mentoring of staff and educational leadership duties for the entire centre.
Skills and Experience
- Bachelor of Education in early childhood 0-8yrs (or more than half way through the degree)
- Current working With Children Check,
- First Aid (HTL1004)
- Thorough knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework
- Knowledge of the Kindergarten Curriculum Guidelines
- Excellent planning, organisational and time management skills
- An 'above and beyond' work ethic
- +1 year experience in childcare teaching
