Teacher Technology - Matraville Sports High School Position Information Matraville Sports High School is a co-educational high school with an enrolment of 290 students located in Sydney’s Eastern suburbs. The school provides a supportive and caring and learning environment for all students including 30% Aboriginal enrolment and 20% from a language background other than English. The school has a support unit catering for students with intellectual disabilities and autism spectrum disorder. Matraville Sports High School is a member of the NSW Sports High Schools Association and provides identified students with specialist coaching and support in reaching their academic and sporting goals. In addition the school is home to the UNSW-Matraville Education Partnership which aims to extend the student experience through gifted and talented enrichment and opportunities, enhanced teacher professional learning, and engagement with the school community. Selection Criteria Approval to teach Technology Mandatory years 7-8, Industrial Technology Timber, and Industrial Technology Multimedia/Photography. Demonstrated ability to deliver dynamic, effective technology teaching programs and engage the full range of learners, including Aboriginal students and students from low socio-economic status communities. Skills and/or experience in teaching gifted and talented students. Evidence of effective classroom practice integrating "STEM" strategies.
