About the Role
The Library Contact Officer is responsible for supporting our students to achieve their academic goals and enhance their student learning experience on campus.
The Library Contact Officer will be part of Student Services and will report to the Student Services & Campus Operations Manager. They are required to engage all students by motivating and encouraging them with their academic learning. A key requirement for this role is to ensure all Library resources are up to date and relevant, and to ensure that research tools for students are easily accessible. It is paramount to deliver exceptional customer service to both internal and external stakeholders in this role, and to ensure smooth running of ATMC operations through providing dedicated student learning support where necessary.
The role's main duties include:
- Ensure all reference material is relevant and updated accordingly
- Assist with Library planning, events and promotions
- Maintain all Library campus' facilities
- Ensure catalogues and resources are available to all students
- Operational responsibility of the ATMC Library website
- Ensure students are informed of all the Library resources
- Provide research and learning assistance to students
- Provide administrative support on ad hoc requests and projects from management and other ATMC staff
- Strong participation in the Student Services Hub to ensure excellence in service.
Selection Criteria
- Bachelor's degree and educational work experience, or satisfactory combination of experience and related training
- Experience working in the international student tertiary sector
- Exceptional administrative skills
- Demonstrated experience in educational programs pertaining to student support services
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Outlook
- High level communication and interpersonal skills
- Understanding of relevant government policy (eg. ESOS Act)
- Advanced written and oral communication skills
- Strong time management and organisational skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and individually
