Salary Neg from $58,422 - $61,325 P/A + Super

In this newly created position you will be responsible for providing library customers with a positive experience both in the physical and virtual library environments.

You will seek customer feedback in developing and improving services, with an initial emphasis on developing appropriate technological solutions.

In addition, you will provide ongoing training and support to staff to enable them to have the skills and confidence to provide helpful and effective service to customers.

To be successful in this role you will need to meet the following criteria:

• Tertiary qualifications in library/information science which allow Technician membership of ALIA (Australian Library & Information Association) or equivalent qualifications and applicable experience.
• Ability to think strategically and creatively about service provision in a public library environment.
• Demonstrated understanding of digital and emerging technologies relevant or applicable to a public library environment.
• Demonstrated ability to manage time, set priorities, plan and organise own work.
• Demonstrated effective customer service skills.
• Proven ability to work with minimum supervision and within a team setting.
• Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal skills including the ability to communicate effectively  across a range of formats, and face-to-face.
