A rare opportunity exists to join the GPC Asia Pacific procurement team in the role of Procurement Specialist at our Rowville Support Office.

The Procurement Specialist will contribute to GPC Asia Pacific’s profitability, growth and return on assets by providing a high quality of procurement support services which satisfy the needs and expectations of the Group. This will be achieved by employing industry leading sourcing and category management strategies aimed at developing sustainable supplier relationships that will deliver maximum return.

You will be responsible for (though not limited to):

  • Administration of the procurement cycle including:

  • leadership of tender processes
  • contract negotiation
  • timely project and program implementation
  • manage, monitor and develop sourcing pipelines and activities
  • minimise commercial and legal risk via implementation of standard agreements and terms and conditions
  • In conjunction with the Category Management team, develop category plans based on analysis of Group spend so that procurement activity can be prioritized to deliver maximum benefit to the Group.
  • Maintain, drive and monitor procurement performance plans and reductions
  • Effective management of supplier relationships and internal stakeholders

  • You will have OEM or FMCG experience
