About The Company:
Incat Tasmania Pty Ltd is a world leading builder of aluminium catamaran vessels, supplying products and services nationally and internationally.
The Opportunity:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Inventory Manager to join the Incat Tasmania ship building yard at Derwent Park. Reporting to the Finance Department, the purpose of this role is to manage and control inventory whilst driving efficiencies and implementing best practice processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee multiple store locations and manage personnel to ensure consistency in processes
- Develop business plan setting of inventory management improvements, reporting on progress towards targets to senior management
- Review current inventory processes and implement best practice to align vessel production and stores to ensure stock accuracy including control and management of all consumables stock
- Ensure company policies and protocols on inventory control processes are effective, implemented and enforced
- Organise stocktake schedule and supervise within various store locations
- Develop key stock controls to confirm records align with stores
- Ongoing oversight and maintenance of Greentree inventory records
- Implementation of bar coding of inventory items
- Develop forecasting reports to assist purchasing department
- Ensure that stores and inventory control personnel receive appropriate training
- Management/creation of job coding and cost centres within ERP system (Greentree)
General Requirements:
The successful candidate will have:
- Proven track record in comparative Inventory Manager role and leadership of small team
- Tertiary (University or TAFE) qualifications in Inventory control / Planning / Purchasing / Management viewed positively
- Sound analytical and problem-solving skills, including mass-data analysis
- Strong communication skills
- Motivated and deadline driven
- Working knowledge of Greentree ERP solution and superior excel skills is a benefit
