About the business and the role

Ian Watson's Driver Training Centre focuses on helping people get truck licences and motorcycle licenses. We are currently experiencing significant growth and are in need of a Truck Driving Instructor to help train students to drive heavy vehicles and upgrade their licence.

Job tasks and responsibilities

Heavy Vehicle Driving Instructor tasks included:

helping beginners get familiar with a heavy vehicle
teaching students the road rules
teaching students how to drive defensively and how to cooperate with other road users
coaching students to pass a QSAFE driving test
helping students get through competency based training for MC class (MC class is an advantage, but not a requirement)
communicating with students about their bookings and helping them arrange and pass a driving test
