Description
Responsible for leading and delivering people and processes within a progressive, market leading Food Manufacturing business, your responsibilities will include:
Key Accountabilities:
-Achieve planned output of each product on time in full
-Achieve agreed cost targets
-Ensure all production maintains conformance to externally defined quality standards
-Ensure agreed GMP standards are maintained on site at all times
-Ensure the site operates in line with the company's Health and Safety Policy at all times
-Ensure all employees are appropriately trained to defined required standards
-Manage the accurate and on time introduction of new products
-Ensure production operations do not exceed defined levels of wastage
Responsibilities
-To provide management, supervision, motivation and on-going development of all team members
-Identifying key staffing and skills requirement
-Determine individual training needs and putting plans in place to meet these needs
-Manage the training requirements and recording across the site for all production/processing/warehouse and logistics employees
-Manage and motivate the team, completing regular performance reviews
-Manage staff attendance, holidays, disciplinary issues and procedures as appropriate
-Manage the company's Agency workers contract
-Proactively and continuously work to identify opportunities and propose detailed plans to improve the operations of the business
-Report on performance against key accountabilities
Profile
- At least 5 year's experience in a Plant Manager/ Factory Manager role in a food manufacturing environment
- A firm knowledge of operations and lean methodologies with demonstrated experience of successful implementation
- Demonstrated thought leader - both strategic and analytical
- Proven track record of Continuous Improvement and/or Lean implementation success
- Tertiary qualified in preferably Engineering, Business or Agribusiness
- Outstanding people skills, including a genuine interest in mentoring future leaders
- Ability to communicate effectively from the shop floor to executive level.
