Warehouse Supervisor (Day Shift) - Yarraville

CSR Lightweight Systems is an Australian market leader in the manufacture and distribution of Gyprock™ plasterboard, Cemintel™ fibre cement and Himmel™ ceiling systems, for use in a wide range of residential and commercial construction applications.
We are looking for a highly collaborative team player with fantastic communication skills who wants to think outside the box and bring a fresh pair of eyes!
Based at our Distribution Centre in Yarraville, we are now looking for a Warehouse Supervisor for our Day Shift. The hours for this role will be between 5am and 2pm however flexibility is required. This is a key role in ensuring the warehouse functions at an optimal level while focusing on safety, employee engagement and customer needs.
Duties & Responsibilities;
Reporting into the Distribution Centre Manager, you will be responsible for supporting and supervising warehouse activities. Your duties will also include;
- Supervise the daily operations of the warehouse to ensure that both people and equipment are employed efficiently
- Ensure cost effective warehouse practices are in order to meet customer’s service demands, and to continually improve warehouse operations
- Embrace and drive the company culture
- Ensure a safe and healthy work environment that complies with company and statutory requirements
- Liaise with all CSR departments to ensure smooth day to day operations, and resolve any issues in a timely manner
Skills & Qualifications required:
- Experience in a similar Supervisory position
- Tertiary qualifications (preferred)
- Previous knowledge of warehousing and distribution systems
- A leader who is capable to motivate and engage staff
- The ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and work well under pressure
- Excellent computer skills with exposure using SAP
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- A hands-on attitude, strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work autonomously
- A strong commitment to health & Safety
- Attention to detail, with sound analytical and problem-solving skills.
