ARRB Systems is a newly formed spin-off operation from the Australian Road Research Board. ARRB Systems develop and manufacture the well-known 'Hawkeye' range of road condition survey equipment and associated desktop and cloud-based analysis software, which is sold and used throughout the world.  

We are seeking an experienced and professional Production Technician.  Our ideal candidate will have the ability to assist with both the manufacturing of individual piece parts and system assembly, and validation of road survey systems. 

There will also be a large amount of interaction with both internal and external customers, so the ability to work with a team and outstanding customer service skills are a must.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Assembly, manufacture and installation of vehicle based electronic road survey equipment
  • Production of system components, cabling and other ancillary parts

Main Duties of the Position:

  • Assist in the production of systems where required
  • Generate and maintain drawings and documentation of work done
  • Provide onsite assistance as and when required to assist in building, support or maintenance of equipment.
  • Provide operator training to potential users of equipment

Skills

  • Diploma level qualifications or relevant experience
  • Exhibit sound mechanical and electronic/electrical aptitude
  • Familiar with computer hardware and software including local network configuration
  • Competent user of Microsoft Office products
  • Ability to manage own work and time to achieve key milestones and to work to tight timeframes
  • Interpersonal skills to deal with internal and external customers
  • Prepared to travel domestically and internationally as needed for maintenance and installation of survey equipment

Minimum Requirements:  

  • Competency in the skills outlined
  • Good communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Valid driver’s licence
  • Permanent Australian residents only
