You New Position
Working closely with the General Manager of Procurement and Logistics, you will be responsible for providing coordination and support on a wide range of procurement projects including logistics coordination, category planning, sourcing, forecasting and inventory management. Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with the management of key tenders including packaging, ingredients, raw materials and fresh produce
- Supporting the set up and implementation of Soul Origin’s online procurement system
- Assisting with the transition of logistics and warehousing to a preferred 3PL
- Working closely with the GM of Procurement and Logistics to source improved products, raw materials and ingredients in line with the brand's strategy and direction, ensuring best value and lowest risk
- Stock forecasting and inventory management
- Coordinating, evaluating and implementing new product trials
- Handling day to day internal and external stock enquiries from franchise partners and suppliers in a timely and professional manner
- Collating, reviewing and rectifying supplier-based quality issues
- Supplier relationship management
What You Need to Succeed
You will enjoy working under pressure and understand the financial risks and importance of meeting project milestone deadlines. You will be a self-managed ‘go getter’ and enjoy being part of a supportive, high performing team, in addition to having:
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a procurement or supply chain coordinator role
- Experience working in manufacturing or QSR / franchise industry is preferred
- A current understanding of procurement concepts, processes, sourcing activities and trends
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, delivering projects to deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Exceptional time management and stakeholder management skills
- Have an ability to work autonomously and enjoy being part of a team
- Self-motivated with a positive and proactive attitude
- Excellent analytical, interpretation and problem-solving skills
