Due to continued growth and maintenance contract wins in Victoria across our Rail business, we have some very exciting career development opportunities at present.
We are currently seeking a Supply Readiness Coordinator to join our Yarra Trams Additional Works Project, which is a tram refurbishment program that will revitalise more than 85% of the Yarra Trams fleet over the next five years.
Reporting to the General Manager – Supply Chain, this role will be responsible for ensuring suppliers meet overarching objectives to support the delivery requirements of the project.
Whilst the core-focus of this role is the readiness of suppliers to ensure they meet their delivery requirements, this role will also support procurement (responding to contracts), purchasing (confirmation of delivery, resolving delivery issues) and logistics (logistics routing between suppliers and the facility).
This role will be offered as a six month fixed-term contract.
ABOUT YOU
- Tertiary qualifications within a supply chain & procurement, and/or logistics related discipline is highly required, with recognised knowledge of Project Management capabilities (certifications).
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in supply chain, procurement and logistics practices within a manufacturing, engineering and/or logistics environment.
- The ability to coordinate and provide comprehensive overview of detailed supply activities & integrated material planning for all maintenance requirements.
- Strong analytical capability and ability to investigate trend analysis on shortages and report/recommend solutions to mitigate threat and/ or minimise impact to delivery dates.
- Demonstrated experience with developing detailed and robust project schedules.
- Extensive knowledge of the procurement process.
- Experience working with customers to optimise service delivery and proven relationship building skills.
- Highly effective communication style teamed with strong inter-personal and influencing skills.
