Thompson & Redwood have been producing and selling quality stock feed since 1985. Our products are sold throughout Australia as well as exported into more than 10 countries across Asia and the Middle East. When you consider this history along with the fact that we don't often need to hire new people because once someone earns a position at T&R they most often stay with us for the long term, then that ought to give you an insight into the type of employer & company  we are.

You'll Must be a Person Who

  • Has at least 5 years' hands-on experience in manufacturing / production industries where you can prove to us that product quality and consistency were daily essentials.
  • Whilst not necessary within a production industry, you'll also need to have a further 5+ years in a supervisor / people management role, leading with no fewer than 10 people who you supported and developed and when required, dealt effectively with any performance / results gaps.
  • You need to hold current tickets including - examples only -  (fork lift, cert 2 OSH, confined area, HR Truck, etc)
  • Has the ethics, safety awareness and common sense to ensure that what we do is lawful, safe and sustainable, whilst ensuring that productivity and quality are not adversely affected as a result of that safety focus.
  • Is not going to back down when things get tough! We believe that hands-on leadership is important when things are going smoothly and easily. It is however nothing short of critical when product demands are very high and timelines are incredibly tight…. And you should know that those times do happen at T&R.
  • And because we're on 'leadership', you'll need to convince us that you are a clear, consistent and assertive leader & communicator who will develop trust and loyalty within their team. If you consider Leadership being either 'Ignore the problem to avoid conflict' or 'go in all guns blazing', then you're not a T&R leader.

  • And you will need to be someone who is able and prepared to provide us with an appropriate return on the considerable investment we will make in you and your future.
