The Position
We have an excellent career opportunity for a Manufacturing Supervisor to join us at our modern Marsden Park facility in West Sydney. As a Supervisor, you will efficiently run the manufacturing facility to produce Lindt quality standard products including chocolates, cakes, pastries and ice cream. This will include ensuring products are packed and delivered to all Lindt Chocolate Café’s and customers on time.
You’ll play a key role in planning and executing production schedules, managing material stock and labour resourcing, making LEAN process improvements, implementing new product development, and maintaining company documentation, protocols, recipes and procedures. On a day-to-day basis, you will be training team members on quality standards, safety, food hygiene, chocolate storage, tempering, moulding technology, changeovers, and machine operation and cleaning of production lines.
You will use your strong leadership and communication skills to develop a site culture that is focused on teamwork, accountability, responsibility and one that continually strives to develop and improve all aspects of the facility to achieve overall customer satisfaction. You will create an open and constructive culture whereby information, projects and events, and operational procedures and documentation is communicated throughout the site.
The Person
- Previous experience in a food production environment (essential)
- Experience implementing or maintaining lean manufacturing techniques
- Knowledge of chocolate confectionary, pastry, cakes and ice-cream production (desirable)
- Qualifications in Food / Baking (desirable)
- Strong skills in leading and organising people to meet business output targets
- High level of organisational and time management skills
- Self-assured, open and highly skilled communicator
- Ability to set expectations and hold employees accountable
- Very good problem solving ability - set priorities and to be self-disciplined and consistent
- Good analytical skills
- Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft Office Applications and SAP experience.
