Summary:

We are seeking a standout person to come on board as a sub-contractor courier driver or owner courier driver who also holds a truck licence (minimum MR). Truck driving experience is necessary, along with knowledge of the Yarra Valley and Dandenong Ranges.

About the role:

The position is full-time, where you will average 8-10 hours a day driving on a set courier run. The first couple hours of your day will be sorting and loading your run from our depot in Bayswater North. You then hit the road for 6-8 hours, where you will deliver freight to a set area within the Yarra Valley and Dandenong Ranges. As our other drivers will tell you, once on the road you are essentially independent, but will be supported by management, administration and your team mates. Our best guys get to know the areas they deliver to, the business, customers and most importantly - the people! You will spend your days delivering to and interacting with local people and businesses, which is just generally enjoyable. You will also need to have your truck licence to cover bulk delivery runs when required.

Duties required:

Courier workloads will vary from 60-80 drops per day on average and bulk 15-20 stops.The principle is: the smaller area you cover the more stops you complete and the larger the area the fewer stops. We do work for 10+ freight companies as an on-forward agent so you would come to understand the detailed procedures of each of this freight companies.

Employment type:

We are only taking applicants who are already or willing to become sub-contractors, who have ABN's and invoice us for hours worked. As mentioned above, you can bring a van and receive a higher salary or drive one of our vans and still receive a very decent salary.
