Kincome is a privately owned wholesale and distributor of automotive and trade tools & equipment. Servicing thousands of retails and independent distributors across Australia and overseas.
Description
This position will be joining an already established product team, reporting to the National Product Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for full life-cycle management of category products, development of opportunities and strategic process across the market.
Other key responsibilities include:
- Working closely with suppliers/ negotiations and collaborations
- Communication with customers is essential for market mapping and opportunities
- Provide other departments with Technical support
- Liaise with industrial design team on new products and strategic developments
- Manage and mentor the Category dedicated Product Coordinator
- Provide reporting of product performance monthly
- There will be an element of international travel involved.
Profile
You will be a highly motivated and driven category manager with previous experience in a wholesale environment, and a good understanding of the retail market. Experience in supplier negotiations and market mapping is essential for the success in this role. Proven communication skills across multiple stakeholders and strong influencing skills will drive the business forward.
- 5+ year’s experience in similar role
- Technical/ industry knowledge to support communication with suppliers
- People management
- Team orientated approach
- Mandarin speaking advantageous but not essential
