This is an exceptional opportunity to take your career to the next level with one of Australia’s largest agribusiness companies in the major wheat growing region of Moree, NSW.

You will be responsible for managing resourcing receivables, and the out-loading of grain during peak and off-peak times. As supervisor to a large team of grain handlers you will be focused on optimal efficiency, and upholding a strict safety culture at all times.

Building positive relationships with local growers and customers, the position calls for a keen awareness of local priorities, seasonal changes and potential issues. Playing a pivotal support role to the Area Manager, your primary objectives as Site Manager include:

  • Ensure compliance with Health Safety and Environmental Management systems, policies and procedures
  • Assist Area Manager with Line Leadership staff reviews
  • Efficient, safe, and cost-effective operational site management
  • Management of grain receivals and out loads
  • Assist in the development of maintenance of policies and procedures
  • Establish and maintain internal and external business relationships
  • Be an actively involved in the local community

YOUR SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

The ideal candidate will have experience in a supervisory role within the agricultural, maintenance, mining, rail or similar industry. You need to be an effective communicator - someone with great leadership skills who is committed to the support, development and positive engagement of your team.

Self managing and enthusiastic, you must have a good working knowledge of OH & S requirements and come equipped with computing skills to effectively manage internal systems, your calendar, email and spreadsheets.

You’ll be efficient with excellent site management capabilities, ensuring all quality and maintenance standards are upheld. To be considered for the role, it’s important you address the following criteria:

  • Minimum two year’s experience in an operational environment
  • Leadership and management experience
  • Great interpersonal skills, including client management skills
  • Sound computer skills
  • Experience with staff interviews
  • Drivers License
  • Any related qualifications
