Randstad are seeking a mechanically minded, reliable individual for a Machine Operator role for their valued Client in Carole Park.

This client is a manufacturing site that produces custom designed packaging solutions. They are currently seeking an experienced Machine Operator for Afternoon shift in an ongoing role at their site; with a view to permanency in the future for the right candidate. This role is available for immediate start.

Essential requirements for the role include:

• Ability to work 10-12 hour shifts; 5 days per week on afternoon shift
• Must be mechanically minded
• Must possess exceptional communication skills and the ability to problem solve
• Be punctual, reliable, well presented, flexible and adaptable
• Be KPI driven
• Able to work autonomously & unsupervised, and work well within a fast paced team environment
• Must be physically fit and able to lift 20kg frequently
• Be Safety conscious and have good communication skills
• Basic Computer skills are essential to navigate around computer operated machines
• Must have a reliable car and licence, as no public transport is available
• You would need to pass Randstads application process including a light physical and an OHS test.
• Must be able to provide two work related referees

Desirable skills include

• Current Forklift Licence
• Previous machine operating experience is highly regarded
• Demonstrated work history on a production based process line
• Packaging experience, particularly in corrugation and corrugated board machines

You will receive

• Ongoing work on a casual basis with a view to permanency
• Hourly rate of $28 per hour, with overtime occurring majority of shifts
