We are currently seeking a full time Quality Assurance Technician to join our Portmans team. This integral role works closely with the Product team to ensure that each garment is created to the design specifications and quality standards of the Group.

Reporting to the QA Manager, your key duties will include:

Ensuring high quality standards are met
Working with the Product Team to understand and interpret styling instructions
Providing technical advice on suitability of styling and fabrics
Liaising with off shore and local suppliers
Giving clear and detailed reports, direction and feedback to suppliers
Receiving, analyzing and approving fabric reports from suppliers
Sample fittings
Filing and updating relevant computer data

To be successful in this role, you will possess a sound knowledge of garment construction, pattern making, garment grading and a full understanding of the fit process. Good written and verbal communication skills are essential as you will play a critical role liaising with and advising merchandisers and suppliers. You will also need to approve all fabric test reports and care labeling. Previous experience in tailoring would be advantageous.
