Supply Chain Manager

Lifestyle Bakery, a market leader in gluten free baking, is seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and energetic Supply Chain Manager to be part of our highly focused team. This is a newly created position and will suit an experienced supply chain/logistics professional.

Due to significant and continued growth, we are currently looking for an expert in the field to take on this important and valued role within the company and take us to the next level of best practice. As part of our leadership team you have the opportunity to influence and assist in maintaining this current growth.

This role is very process driven, your responsibility will be to build and run a high performing supply chain and distribution machine that is reliable and manageable.

By negotiating competitive pricing, building partnerships and ensuring timely delivery you will be required to meet all manufacturing and business procurement requests.

The role is diverse, so this is a perfect opportunity to expand your experience and build your future in a rapidly growing company. Key responsibilities are:

• Liaise with our customer’s distribution centres to receive orders and ensure ‘on time ‘ delivery
• Work closely with the production team to ensure appropriate stock levels
• Determining lead times for product to customer
• Negotiate and manage supplier contracts
• Manage freight logistics, monitor inventory and stock, ultimately assisting with improving business outcomes
• Distribution operations
• Oversee purchasing
• Oversee warehouse stock levels, monitoring and maintaining raw material delivery schedules and reducing lead time.

Qualifications and experience

• Tertiary qualification in procurement or supply chain is desirable
• Experience in food manufacturing highly desirable although not essential
• Experience in GCorp highly desirable although not essential
• Ideally 3+ years’ experience in a food manufacturing environment would be an advantage

The successful candidate will be able to multitask and manage priorities, have a high attention to detail and have exceptional communication and organisation skills.
