We are on the hunt for an experienced Warehousing Professional / Team Leader to join our client, a well-known global leader in food products manufacturing and distribution, located in the Sunshine Coast Region of Queensland.
In this position, you will primarily be responsible for planning, coordination and control of the warehousing, storage and distribution processes, as well as leading a team of 17 - 20 personnel. This will include effective collaboration with production, logistics and quality assurance teams to achieve business objectives. Other responsibilities include:
- Providing leadership and guidance to the Warehouse and Distribution team to ensure the safe and accurate storage and distribution of all raw materials, packaging materials and finished goods in a secure, clean environment (ambient, chilled and frozen) and to ensure product integrity is maintained
- Ensuring raw materials are available for production as per the weekly schedule
- Ensuring good stock rotation so that FIFO disciplines are maintained
- Planning and undertaking stock counting to ensure inventory accuracy and relevant data entry into the MRP system - MFGPro
- Liaison with freight and off-site storage service suppliers and ensure the timely receipt of inwards goods and dispatch of outwards goods
- Ensuring good warehousing practices are followed and that practices comply with applicable Food Safety standards
To be successful in this role you will be expected to have:
- Demonstrable experience in a busy Warehousing role within Food or FMCG environment
- Strong leadership skills, as well as people and performance management experience
- A current LF Forklift licence and experience in operating a high-reach forklift will be looked upon favourably but not mandatory
- Good computer skills and experience using MS Excel, MRP systems and RF scanning
- A strong commitment to WHS
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and personal presentation
