About the role
The role is an opportunity for self motivated driving professionals, performing local Cairns fuel delivery in a flexible and safety focused work environment.
Driver positions are based in Cairns. Drivers and are required to load, transport and unload bulk petroleum products at retail and aviation depot in a safe and professional manner.
Position runs on a 7 day roster, and candidate will need to be available for weekend work.
Hours can vary over a rotating roster driven by customer operational demands for an immediate start.
Skills and Experience
- Previous on road experience operating road train configurations preferred.
- Prior experience in delivery of dangerous goods preferred
- MC License
- Dangerous Goods License
- Safe loading Pass (SLP) preferred but not essential
- Knowledge of the local and Country road network
Additional Criteria
- Provide a safe driver history report at interview stage
- Willing to learn and have a keen interest in gaining entry into fuel industry
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety
- Ability to operate in a professional and safe manner
- Must follow company procedures, including hazard, near miss and incident reporting processes
- Professional presentation and meticulous about fleet presentation
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
