As a division of Wesfarmers Industrial and Safety, Blacksmith Jacks takes pride in being able to supply their customers with a large range of products, services and advice to help you get the job done!
Our Operations team plays an integral part in ensuring our products are delivered in full, on time, every time. Our Mackay team is now looking for a self-motivated and customer focused team player to assist us in achieving that goal!
When you join our team, you will be provided with regular training – including training on our huge range of products.
Reporting to the Branch Manager, this role is responsible for:
- Picking customer orders in a timely and accurate manner
- Checking-off and receiving incoming goods from suppliers
- Labelling of goods in preparation for storage/merchandising
- Assisting with stock-takes and other inventory initiatives
- Maintaining the warehouse in a tidy and clean state at all times
- Packing and delivering gas cylinder orders both on site and via truck
- Assisting to keep the gas yard in order and sorting cylinders for return
- Actively participating in training initiatives (business systems, product and business procedures)
- Acting as a backup to our delivery driver
- Assisting within the retail sector if required
To be successful for this role previous experience as a Store Person is advantageous but not essential for the right candidate and attitude. You are a team player who is self-motivated with a strong work ethic and a keen focus on safety. The capacity to perform a physically demanding role is essential. A current MR Licence and Forklift licence is also highly regarded but is not essential.
