The role and you…
As a pivotal member of our Alexandria team, the Transport Coordinator is responsible for the coordination of all transport on the site and providing support to the day to day operations, including our other distribution centre locations and our network of Gyprock Trade Centres!
Reporting to the Distribution Centre manager you will have an eye for detail and be compliance focused, working to ensure all transport is conducted in accordance with our policies, procedures and Chain of Responsibility legislation, a crucial part of your role. You will have a ‘hands on’ approach and a high level of enthusiasm that leads itself to developing and encouraging your peers.
Working with internal and external stakeholders regularly you will not be afraid to pick up the phone and build relationships, you will be able to communicate well, and have a solution focused mindset to ensure that we can provide exceptional customer service to our customers, whilst being able to effectively provide updates to the wider team.

- Have proven knowledge of road transport operations and CoR legislation, understanding delivery areas of NSW is also very helpful
- Always be on the lookout for continuous improvement opportunities with the ability to conduct and document root cause analysis
- Understand Key Performance Indicators and their application, with an ability to develop meaningful operational measures and reports
- Be a great all-round communicator
- Have strong numerical and literacy skills and be able to use excel, outlook & word on the computer, as well as have experience with SAP
- Work in a constructive, achievement orientation and collaborative manner
- Hold safety as a high value and have the customer at the heart of all you do
- Be open to new, getting the job done and having fun along the way
