The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Inventory Controller to join the Parts Operations Department at our Fairfield branch. Reporting to the Sales and Operations Planning Manager, the purpose of the role is to maintain constant focus on DC parts inventory levels and support weekly replenishment cycle to ensure service level commitments. You will coordinate the entire inventory control activities (including stock level control, MRP parameter control, inventory reporting, DC-BR distribution) and support inventory profile improvement and backorder minimisation of fast moving spare parts.
Key responsibilities include:
- Ensure special category inventory fill rate is achieved and maintained
- Create monthly reports on consumption and replenishment, including root cause analysis and countermeasures for any negative trends
- Support the weekly replenishment cycle of all inbound spare parts purchases into or 3 regional as well as DC to branch replenishment for ABC and special inventory as per stocking policy.
- Monthly inventory reports, with strong reliance on data and data visualisation
- Provide feedback and guidance regarding improvement projects and opportunities for improvement.
- Tertiary Qualifications in Business, Supply Chain/Logistics, Engineering or similar
- Self-Starter with demonstrated Inventory Management experience (min 2 years).
- Strong excel & power point skills, MS Access desirable
- Sound knowledge of MRP system calculations
- Exposure to Masterdata improvement desirable
- Komatsu product knowledge with technical background (desirable but not essential)
- Solution orientated with positive attitude and excellent communication skills
- High level attention to detail and proven data entry accuracy and integrity
- Experience with Quality Control tools (desirable but not essential as in-house training provided)
