My client is looking to bring on board an experienced Parts Interpreter to help maintain and further improve spare parts service standards across the group. You will report directly to the Group Parts Manager, and be instrumental in maintaining and improving inventory and customer service outcomes across the Australasian business.

My client are a highly regarded wholesale and retail specialist in the machinery sector who have a dominant footprint in the Australasian market. My client have excellent brand recognition and are recognised as having the best customer service offering in the sector.

Description

The primary responsibilities of this position are to support individual customers and dealers to identify required replacement parts, often doing so by remote methods such as phone or email. You will achieve this by building an in depth knowledge of all products in the company catalogue.

You will work closely with the Parts Manager and warehouse colleagues to ensure that all requested parts are provided in a timely manner. In addition you will liaise daily with multiple internal departments, including service, sales, logistics, and external stakeholders including suppliers and customers (retail, wholesale and individual customers).

Other responsibilities include the promotion of seasonal part lines, and the supporting of parts handling and administration duties.

Additionally, you will be critical to helping develop and implement processes and procedures leading to improved inventory outcomes, in a business that has a strong continuous improvement culture.

Profile

The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, a driver’s license and ideally a forklift license, with at least three years experience in an inventory or parts interpreter position. Additionally, you will have an eye for detail, a can-do attitude, and an ability to work proactively and relate to all functions within the business.
