About the business

Our client is a dynamic procurement company based in Brisbane and due to rapid growth they now seek an enthusiastic and motivated French speaking Export Coordinator to join their team.

About the role

In this role will be responsible for the day to day import and export functions of the company. Working in a friendly team environment, this is an excellent opportunity to gain exposure to the exciting international mining scene.  

 

This is a permanent, full-time position. You must have valid and permanent rights to work in Australia to apply.


Key Requirements:

  • Follow up with suppliers and transport companies to guaranty on-time deliveries
  • Pick up goods locally if required or arrange couriers' collections
  • Quality control on received goods to ensure accurate quantity, type, and quality
  • Liaise with freight forwarders, shipping lines, and other external organisations in collating export documentation
  • Ensure accurate & timely processing of export documentation
  • Ensure shipments are compliant with export and import regulations
  • Operate a forklift safely if required
  • Communicate with customers in a courteous and professional manner to update them on ETAs

General Administration duties as required

Skills and experience

  • Previous work experience in freight forwarding / international shipping / supply chain of at least 2 years is mandatory (sea, air and land)
  • Tertiary degree in Logistics or International Business is highly regarded
  • Very good knowledge of Australian export documentation and procedures is necessary
  • Professional experience gained in mining equipment or spare-parts industries is highly regarded
  • English and French language skills are essential
  • Well-developed communication skills (verbal and written)
  • The ability to work under pressure and maintain accuracy in a fast paced work environment
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft applications such as Word and Excel
  • Previous experience with ERP systems, MYOB preferred
  • High attention to detail
  • Excellent numeracy, literacy and organisational skills
  • Your own vehicle and valid driving license
  • A current forklift license is desirable
