This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Health and Safety professional looking for their next role in the aviation industry. This role is based primarily in Cairns, with some opportunity to travel throughout Australia.
The Safety and Quality Manager is responsible for all Safety and Quality related matters over our bases in Cairns, Townsville, Horn Island and Darwin and will support Nautilus Aviation personnel at all levels in achieving safe and effective Flight and Maintenance Operations.
Additionally, the successful applicant will be responsible for administering the requirements of the Safety Management System (SMS), maintaining oversight of audits, administering base specific safety programs, conducting and reporting on occurrence and hazard investigations as well as a variety of other safety and quality specific responsibilities to ensure a program of continuous best practice.
The successful incumbent will have the following:
- Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety
- ISO 9001 lead auditors training an advantage.
- Aviation background
- Occurrence or accident investigation skills.
- Experience in managing safety programmes.
Australian citizenship or the ability to live and work in Australia is necessary.
