We are seeking a keen, self-motivated and tenacious Boilermaker to join our company in a Quality Control capacity.
Your role here
With a background in the fabrication of Structural Steel, you will join our existing quality team with your primary focus being to verify, check, and document the fabrication of structural steel in accordance with code requirements. This is a hands-on role and your skills as an experienced fabricator will be utilised in identifying and minimising fabrication errors.
A necessary part of your day will be your prompt and resilient communication with workshop employees. Confidently conversing with Workshop leadership and Structural Steel Detailer team members to achieve adherence to relevant checklists is also a part of your key responsibilities.
You will thrive on a methodical approach, pace, accuracy in data and prioritising to deadlines.
What you can bring to succeed
· Trade qualification in metal fabrication or 4 to 6 years' experience within the metal trade industry
· Minimum Cert II Fabrication
· Able to read and understand engineering drawings
· Excellent communication and good interpersonal skills
· Able to work unsupervised and/or as part of a team
· Open to possibility of working out of ‘regular’ hours
· Be reliable and have a sound work ethic
