What is the role?

We are currently seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Outbound Operations Supervisor to join our Warehouse team. We have a 14,000 sqm warehouse facility with inventory control and warehouse efficiencies across more than 10,000 SKU.

The Outbound Operations Supervisor reports into the Warehouse Operations Manager and is primarily responsible for maintaining a safe and effective Outbound Value Stream, ensuring all sales orders are processed within the agreed timeframes and cost at Brown & Watson International. The Outbound Operations team consists of approximately 38 staff members and this role is responsible for leading and supervising the team.

Other day-to day responsibilities include:

• Ensure Safety is the number one priority for all staff, contractors and visitors
• Support, foster and develop a culture in line with BWI Values, including high Engagement levels
• Management, leadership and coaching of the Outbound team.
• Lead Tool Box meetings
• Maintaining an effective resource/people plan to meet the daily needs of the Inbound Operations.
• Ensuring all team members are trained and comply with operational processes and procedures
• Identify and implement process improvements, efficiencies and lean principles
• Foster a Continuous Improvement (CI) culture and mindset to drive efficiencies in processes and costs
• Ensure equipment used in the Inbound Operations area is maintained and operational at all times
• Develop and implement training plans for team members and succession planning
• Accurate, timely and efficient shipping of all Sales Orders from the Knoxfield facility
• Ensure the safe picking, packing and handling of all BWI products
• Ensure all picking and shipping deadlines and priority cut-off times are met (On Time KPI)
• Monitor productivity and quality objectives to meet or exceed established KPI’s
• Manage and coordinate the Consolidation area for all sales orders and freight types
• Work closely with Order Release Coordinator to manage daily workloads
• Ensure safe and efficient loading and dispatching of all completed sales orders
• Work closely with Freight companies to ensure on time pick up and departure and special instructions
• Establish and manage Balanced Scorecards (or Key Performance Indicators - KPI’s) for the Inbound Operations team
• Monitor productivity and quality objectives to meet or exceed established KPI’s.
• Any other task relevant to the area of responsibility.

The successful Outbound Operations Supervisor will have previous experience in warehouse operations and the ability to manage, coach, develop and build effective teams to achieve business objectives.
