This vision has now created an opportunity for a motivated CNC Operator for the effective actioning of the Structural Steel Plate machine. The position is full time. Is it you?

Your role here:

Reporting to the CNC Production Manager, your primary focus will be to:  

·       Operate the CNC machinery, processing structural steel

·       Maintain machinery, systems and quality records

·       Demonstrate operational compliance with procedures and WHS safety standards

·       Be responsible for keeping machine workloads balanced maximising production

What you can bring to succeed 

·       A working knowledge of Excel and Word.

·       2-3 years industry experience working CNC processing machinery.

·       Experience working processing machines. Must possess basic maths skills.

·       Computer literacy in the use of CNC software. CAD/ CAM / MRP programming experience is preferable.

·       Ability to follow sequences, load, unload and sort material as required.

·       Ability to trouble shoot minor faults and perform Preventative Maintenance procedures.

·       Maintain logs of production and quality records in accordance with ISO 9001 policies and project specifications.

·       Ability to schedule, follow sequences, load, unload and sort material as required.

·       Must be physically fit due to manual handling requirements.

·       Maintaining a roster for the CNC department.

·       Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

·       Current Drivers Licence

And…candidates with the following will be held in high regard:

·       Associate in Mechanical/ Electrical Engineering.

·       Mechanical/ Electrical Trade Qualification.

·       Fitter Turner/ Toolmaker.

·       Knowledge in CNC/CAD/CAM and MRP software applications.

·       Current Forklift Licence and experience on Side Loader is preferable.

·       Overhead Gantry Cranes ticket slinging structural steel loads.

·       Experience in the structural steel industry.

·       First Aid.
