The Role

The Maintenance Planner will facilitate continuous improvement in plant reliability through Asset Management strategy development, maintenance and project planning.  This will be delivered through co-ordinating the activities of the shift maintenance teams and contractor service providers, plant shut downs, supervising projects and managing work requests, while also providing specialist technical advice and strategic leadership to ensure maximum equipment availability and plant operating efficiency. 

Managing trade resources to ensure maintenance activities are executed to standard, while trade capability is maintained and learning requirements are developed and delivered will also be a key part of this role

In addition to this you will:

  • Plan maintenance and small projects
  • Maintain a safe, healthy and risk free working environment
  • Manage budgets and costs
  • Facilitate problem solving
  • Manage engineering compliance activities
  • Support deployment of world class manufacturing processes (VPO)

Who you are

You will be comfortable in a fast paced environment, have a thirst for learning and always seeking the next challenge or improvement opportunity, you will also have:

  • Have strong knowledge of plant production processes and technologies, ideally from within a manufacturing environment
  • Be familiar with maintenance systems
  • Possess an Engineering degree or similar (highly desirable)
  • Previous experience in a high volume fast paced environment
  • Have experience with continuously operating industrial processes
  • Have proven analytical problem solving skills
  • Possess the ability to influence key stakeholders across sound maintenance practices
  • You don’t settle, you’re always asking what’s next and looking to take on the next opportunity
