Linehaul Allocator – Victoria Depot
SRV are looking for a competent Linehaul Allocator to be based in our Sunshine West depot to work in conjunction with our Operations Manager to help facilitate the Logistic Operations of our company. You along with the Operations Manager will be the team responsible for the coordination of personnel and processes to achieve effective Road Freight movements on the Eastern seaboard.
Ideally you will be well versed in Transport Management principles and practices and your communication and negotiation skills will be superior, you will have great record keeping abilities and posses a customer-oriented approach.
It is the purpose of the Operations Team to ensure the smooth and safe operation of a variety of channels aiming for maximum fleet efficiency.
Responsibilities;
- Coordinate and monitor supply chain operations
- Ensure effective communication use at all times
- Utilise Logistics IT to optimise procedures
- Recruit and coordinate logistics staff ( e.g. truck drivers )
- Communicate with Driving Team, Office Team, and Clients etc.
- Keep records of various freight movements
- Prepare reports for Senior Management
Requirements;
- Experience in similar role or equivalent
- Experience in Customer Service
- Knowledge of HVNL, CoR and applicable regulations associated with this role
- Ability to work with little supervision
- Computer savvy
- Outstanding organisational and coordination abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Take directive from National Operations Manager, Depot Manager or General Manager
- HR Licence and Forklift Licence
